When you delete an email if goes into your Deleted Items folders

Emails in your Deleted Items folders are considered UNWANTED by you

If you deleted an email by mistake, you have 30 days to move the email back out of your Deleted Items into a different folder

Once an email has been in your Deleted Items for more than 30 days it will automatically be purged

Obviously storing important emails in your Deleted Items is not good practice. Instead, simply file emails into folders that you have already or can create.

Speedtest

Speedtest.net is a web service that provides free analysis of Internet access parameters, such as connection data rate. It will measure the download speed of your internet, as well as the upload speed.

The service measures the bandwidth (speed) and latency of a visitor's internet connection. Each test measures the data rate for the download direction, i.e. from the server to the user computer, and the upload data rate, i.e. from the user's computer to the server.

The download speed is how fast you can pull data from the server to you. Most connections are designed to download much faster than they upload, since the majority of online activity, like loading web pages or streaming videos, consists of downloads.

The upload speed is how fast you send data from you to others. Uploading is necessary for sending big files via email, or in using video-chat to talk to someone else online (since you have to send your video feed to them).

As users utilise Cloud technologies more and more, upload speed is becoming more important. Cloud based email, accounting and file sharing require better upload speeds.

Both the Download speed and Upload speed are measured in megabits per second (Mbps).

How to perform a speed test

Go to this website speedtest.net then click on the ‘Begin Test’ button. Make sure you do not click on anything else as they are only advertisements
